No accounts, no tracking

The mobile app requires no sign-up, no login, and no account of any kind. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers. We have no way to identify you, and we have no interest in doing so.

Microphone & motion sensors

The app uses your device's microphone or motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) to generate genuine physical randomness — the same philosophy behind the atmospheric-noise randomness used on this website. Microphone audio is sampled for a fraction of a second to measure ambient sound levels. No audio is ever recorded, stored, transmitted, or analyzed for content. The sampled values are converted into a number entirely on your device and immediately discarded.

No quote data leaves your device

The quote collection is bundled inside the app itself. Generating a quote is a fully offline operation — nothing is sent to any server.

The app offers optional, voluntary tips ("Support the Work") processed through Apple's App Store and Google Play billing systems. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and Google — we never see or store your payment details.

We use RevenueCat to manage purchase validation. RevenueCat receives only an anonymous, randomly generated app user ID and the purchase event itself — never your name, email, or payment information. You can read RevenueCat's own privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

If you subscribe to updates on this website, your email address is stored solely for the purpose of sending you those updates. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with any third party for marketing purposes. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in any email we send.

Spirit Random is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because the app and website collect no personal data at all, there is no information to inadvertently gather from any user, regardless of age.

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app or website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
